Delete your Koru account
How to request deletion
Send an email from the address tied to your Koru account to bug@enot.dev with the subject "Delete Koru account". We will confirm receipt within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
You don't need to give a reason. The email-from-your-account check is what authorizes the request — we don't have any other way to verify ownership.
What gets deleted
From our servers, we permanently remove:
- Your account row (email + bcrypt password hash + internal user ID)
- Your plan and any monthly AI usage counters
- The per-request audit log for every AI call you ever made (task type, model used, timing — never the content of your prompts, since we don't log that in the first place)
This is everything Koru's server has about you. There is no other data store.
What stays — and how to delete it
Koru is offline-first. Your contacts, interactions, reminders, family information, notes, photos, and groups live in a local SQLite database on your phone — they were never on our servers, so we can't delete them for you.
To delete that local data: uninstall the Koru app from your phone. Android removes the app's private storage at uninstall time. (You can also export everything first via Settings → Export to keep a CSV / JSON / vCard copy.)
Retention before deletion
We hold your data only for the time it takes to action your deletion request — at most 30 days from the moment we receive your email. If the 30-day window passes without us completing it, that is a bug; please reply to your original thread.
Backups
Postgres backups (encrypted, EU storage) are retained for 30 days on a rolling window. Your data is removed from the live database immediately, and from the last backup containing it within 30 days.
